Are you kidding me, hike an active volcano? That's right not only
did I do it once, but I hiked many active volcanoes in Guatemala. While
I lived there, I hiked a few of them and some I hiked more than once.
This is a completely amazing experience and shockingly legal. I can say
that it was very incredible staring down into a huge volcano at the
boiling lava. You haven't lived til' you've hiked an active volcano!!
![]() My favorite hike and most beautiful was Volcano Pacaya. The
8,300 foot vocano does not make it an easy hike, but it was such a
great experience. Antigua Guatemala will take you to the base of Pacaya
where you can explore this volcano. The hike takes about 4 hours total.
It takes you through a pine forest and then out to the ash volcano
where you end at the very top with the sulfer and you can peer down at
the lava. Talk about insane! The view is amazing!
Fuego
a 12,300 foot volcano is another volcano seen from Antigua. It is one
of the most impressive of Guatemala's 38 volcanoes. It is an extremely
hard hike. Continual clouds of smoke puff out of this volcano daily. If
you are in for a real challenge, then try hiking this volcano. ![]() Volcano Acatenango which
is 13,000 feet tall is also a spectacular hike. This volcano is Fuegos
dormant twin. Hiking time is about 6 hours and is one of the tallest in
Guatemala. Eventhough you may not see smoke or lava, it is still an
amazing and beautiful hike to do.
Seriously, you haven't lived til; you've hiked active volcanoes. It is an incredible experience! So, what are you waiting for?

snuggle up and get ready for some romance! Ride up to the top and look
out over Paris...AMAZING!! People have even carved their names at the
top...crazy tourists!
![]() The Louvre Museum is
spectacular! Take plenty of time to tour this museum...you could be in
there all day. From VanGough to Monet, it's chuck full of awesome
artwork! If you love art, you can easily waste the day away here!
There are many many cathedrals around to take a gandor at. Notre Dame is
one of the most famous cathedrals. It has amazing history and it is a
spectacular architectual building that is breathtaking up close.
![]() Get out and explore Paris!! When you do go, remember to brush up
on your French, they will like you more if you do! Plus, then you won't
look like such a tourist.
